Worm Tea

Organic Worm Farm now offers a 1 pound worm tea bag which will make 5 gallons of worm tea.

I realize others promote 2-5 ounce tea bags to make five gallons of worm tea, however this is not enough worm castings.

Organic Worm Farm and other worm farms use 10 pounds of worm castings per 50 gallons of water, so why would other websites promote a different ratio? They only offer this as that is the only sizes the self sealing tea bags are available in that they purchase. Rather than use these, we make our own tea bags with a cotton blend, biodegradable material, hence allowing end users to use the same ratio as a professional worm farm :!:

Why not make a bag out of a synthetic cloth with a velcro closure that would last longer?

Hello Bruce:
A couple of questions about your tea bags: A)Is this for brewing? or Is this a redi-made tea? As per the description you add to water and let sit for 48 hrs. CAN be aerated which leaves me with the above questions. B)I'm looking for something I can add to my 2 gal. watering can and 5 gals would be a bit of an overkill. I have a couple of reusable smaller muslin bags(which hold up to 1 gal.)which may be useful in breaking up your larger tea bag and storing for later use. C)Does it have a shelf life? your thoughts :?:
