Hello from the UK

Postby wormerbrit » Wed Mar 07, 2012 4:22 pm

I'm new to worm composting etc but I can see that it's a good thing and plan to give it a go. Here in the Uk I may be a rare breed, lets hope vermacomposting catches on over here.

Welcome to The Worm Expert Forum,

I am surprised that you think there is so few people doing vermacomposting in your part of the world. You might be surprised lol. What type of worms do you plan to start with? Red Wrigglers and Europeans would be ok over there. In the U.S. a lot of people are keeping Africans but you would need heated beds over in the UK.

Where I live the temps are suitable all year round without the need for heaters.
regards
Brian :-) :-)

I expect there are, but I've seen nothing of it so far, i must get out more. Here in UK the climate is cooler so red wiggler would be my choice I have permission to dig through a compost heap at a stable so I hope to get a few freebies. :D
