Gainesville, GA!!!!!!

Postby Kjbaran » Mon Jul 02, 2012 12:31 pm

My name is Kris Baran and I'm here in G-ville. It has become pretty evident that our current economic situation in the past 10 years or so has worsened. I believe that we need to become reconnected with the natural resources around our homes and stop being so dependent on society for things like our food. This is why I became interested in vermicomposting. I see that there's a lot of people here from all walks of life, myself being prior enlisted as a US Marine. I hope that I can learn as much as I can from everyone here and look forward to even making a few new friends. :)

Welcome to the Worm Expert Forum Kris.

Everybody is here to learn and share information. What type of worms do you have? I see you are an ex military man. I did 6 years in the Australian Army back in the 70's in Transport. Seems so long ago now.

You maybe interested in this site also http://forums.permaculture.org.au/forum.php Lots of people there sharing information.

Dittos here Kris.
New faces are always welcome here, New ideas can come from the most unlikely places. I look on vermiculture as more of an art than a science. Like any other art form, what works for one does not always work for another and one can only hope to improve on what exists today. And like other art forms, If you're not having fun along the way, something is wrong. Being in Oz, Brian usually shows up arround 6:00 am our time. I'm a little closer in Lexington, SC, USA , and I get on at various times of the day. I've only been into vermiculture, knowingly, for a few months, 'tho I've been an Organic gardener all my life, and still learning. The site Brian gave you is a very good site, as it has more active members, and and gets into a more diverse dialog, but don't abandon us over here. We need all the active minds we can get.
