Worm identification

Postby zrab001 » Fri Oct 23, 2009 9:07 pm

Does anybody know a good resource where you can learn about identifying the various types of worms? I picked some in my yard, and I know that they are of different kind, but not much more. I'd like to find out (or get close to it) what type I have in order to optimize their living conditions in the bin I created.

Thanks!

Be sure the worm is a mature worm before trying to identify it. It is easy to see if they are mature by looking for the this band around it that usually appears to be swollen and discolored a bit.

A good source for helping to identify worms can be found here. This is a PDF file.

Let us know if you identify them :D
